RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Playing a key role in the revision of existing rate programs, development of new ones and the valuation of claim liabilities;
- Preparing rate filings for various regulatory authorities and providing actuarial support in a variety of Property/Casualty development and corporate projects;
- Liaising with other departments and interacting with others on actuarial issues;
- Using and developing a combination of actuarial, mathematical, project management, and technical skills to actively participate in various assignments;
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The successful candidate will ideally possess a minimum of 1 year of Property & Casualty actuarial experience.
- You have working knowledge of spreadsheets, statistical and database tools.
- You are a detail-oriented, highly productive and organized individual with strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, time management, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- You maintain a professional demeanour in all of your dealings, and are able to interact confidently and communicate effectively.
- Additionally, you are able to prioritize and complete work with moderate supervision.
- A University Degree in Actuarial Science is required as well as completion of a minimum of three CAS actuarial exams.
- Computer literacy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 including Word, Excel, and Outlook is also required.
