The temple of Heaven also known as the imperial sacrificial alter in Beijing, founded in the first half of the 15th century, is a dignified complex of buildings set in gardens. The buildings symbolize the relationship between heaven and earth. Chinese emperors in Ming and Qing dynasty came to bring sacrifices to the temple to ask for God’s blessing in the agricultural harvest.

The temple of heaven is the largest alter in the China, also recognized as the world’s heritage by United Nation.
